Previous roles and projects include County Visual Arts and Crafts Development Officer and pARTicipate artists residency scheme Manager for Northamptonshire; Open Spaces Open Places Project Manager, Northampton; Project Officer at Beaford Arts for Devon Artsculture; Project Co-ordinator for Bideford 500; Steering group member for The Devonshire Association’s ‘Devon Newfoundland’ project and Activity Plan Programme Co-ordinator at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.
Establishing an arts organisation in Bideford in 2009, Sadie’s brainchild is Bideford Bay Creatives (BBC). BBC create and deliver a variety of successful community-based projects, focusing on cultural heritage and history. Previous projects include First Fridays; Tales of the Riverbank, Culture Show, ‘A Portrait of Bideford’ twinning exhibition and The Way of the Wharves heritage project.
Creating and curating several exhibitions and public arts events nationally and Internationally has enabled Sadie to become established and demonstrate her skills. These include large exhibitions in Devon, Northamptonshire, Dare County Arts in Manteo, North Carolina and in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Sadie spent a year living in Tucson Arizona in 2003-4 and gained a wealth of experience, volunteering for arts organisations and the International Film Festival, working with film makers, artists, the Open Studios programme and other community events.
